Claiming & verification3 answers
How do I claim my business?
In most cases HitDaHiway's AI has already assembled a profile for your business from public sources like Google Business Profile and Apple Maps. You confirm the profile is yours, pick a verification method, then finish details, customization and commerce settings — the flow is six steps and typically takes about five minutes.
How does verification work, and how long does it take?
Four methods: Google Business Profile (instant, using your existing listing), Apple Maps Connect (about 2 minutes), business documents (usually 5–10 minutes), or phone verification (2–3 minutes). Most businesses are verified in under ten minutes, and your documents are never shared.
The profile the AI found isn't my business. What do I do?
Use the “No, this isn't my business” link in the claim flow and add the right one instead — it takes the same five minutes. Nothing is published under your name until you verify.
Offers & campaigns4 answers
How does an offer go live? Can travelers see my drafts?
Every offer starts as a private draft — travelers never see drafts. To publish, you must explicitly confirm you've reviewed the offer; without that confirmation the platform refuses to publish. Once live, an offer shows only while it's started, unexpired and under its redemption cap, and you can retire it at any time.
What controls do I have on an offer?
Discount percentage, start and expiry times, a radius from 5 to 60 miles, eligible traveler categories, a total redemption cap, a per-traveler limit, a minimum purchase amount, and your own legal terms.
Does the AI assistant publish things on my behalf?
Never. Give it a goal and it returns a clearly labeled draft. Publishing always requires you to review and confirm — the assistant has no path around that gate.
How much should I budget for a campaign?
Daily budgets run from $10 to $200. Most owners start at $15–25 a day with a 20–30 mile radius, watch a week of redemptions, then adjust one variable at a time. You pay on traveler engagement, not impressions.
Orders & payments4 answers
What happens when an order comes in?
It arrives with the traveler's payment authorized — not captured. You accept or reject it; after accepting, you mark it fulfilled when the traveler picks up. Every status change is recorded in the order's history, which the traveler's app follows live.
What if I have to reject an order?
Rejected orders carry zero commission and the traveler's card is never charged — the authorization is simply released. Rejecting quickly and honestly when you're out of stock beats letting an order sit.
Can a glitch charge a traveler twice?
No. Order submission is idempotent: if a spotty highway connection resubmits the same order, the platform returns the original instead of creating a duplicate. You'll never see, or be charged commission on, a phantom second order.
How do refunds affect what I owe?
A full refund reverses that order's commission entirely; a partial refund reverses it proportionally. Refunds are issued from the order screen in your merchant portal.
Pricing & billing3 answers
What does HitDaHiway cost?
Starter is free with a 6% per-order rate. Pro Merchant is $59/month at 4% per order, and Premium is $199/month at 3%. Annual billing takes 20% off the monthly fee — $47 for Pro, $159 for Premium. No setup fees, no long-term contracts.
When do I get paid?
Standard payouts arrive the next business day, free, on every plan. On Premium you can also take instant payouts for a 1.5% fee. Statements itemize earnings, tips, fees, refunds and per-order commission.
Is commission charged on the whole ticket?
No — commission applies to the discounted subtotal only, never to taxes. Orders you reject, and orders that get canceled, carry no commission at all.
The traveler app2 answers
How do travelers actually find my business?
The traveler app reads route, search and dwell signals and surfaces your offer at the moment a nearby traveler is deciding where to eat, stay or stop. From first glance to checkout typically takes about a minute — offers written in plain numbers convert best.
Where is HitDaHiway available?
All 50 states, with the deepest traveler demand along major corridors like I-10, I-95 and Route 66. Use the state finder on the Coverage page to see business counts near you.
Account & security2 answers
Who can access my merchant portal account?
Owners and managers can edit the storefront, offers and orders; viewer accounts are read-only. Every sensitive action is written to your account's audit log, so you can always see who did what, and when.
How do I report a security issue?
Head to our Security page for the disclosure process, or email support and flag the message as security-related — those reports are triaged first.
Didn’t find it?
Support answers every message within one business day — and reads all of them.
